Wind River Sage Fund Seeks Requests for Proposals for Curator

The Wind River Sage Fund is seeking a Curator Consultant to support the Cultural Preservation initiative. This role is critical to the foundational success of the museum facility housed at the future Tribal Buffalo Center. The selected consultant will lead the development of essential operational frameworks and ensure the cultural integrity of the center’s exhibits and programming.

 

The Curator Consultant position is a contracted, hourly role supporting the Wind River Sage Fund’s Cultural Preservation initiative. This expert will guide the foundational success of the Tribal Buffalo Center museum by developing operational frameworks, designing collections management plans, and ensuring the cultural integrity of all exhibits and programs. They will serve as an advisor to the architectural design team during the design-development process of the building and leading into the creation of construction documents.

Project Description

Full architectural and engineering design services for design of the new Ecotourism Visitors Center to be located on Tribal land controlled by the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, and located within the boundaries of the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming.

A non-mandatory, pre-proposal conference will be conducted on June 3, 2025, 10:00 AM (MDT) at the Frank B. Wise Building, 3 Ethete Road, Fort Washakie, WY 82514. The pre-proposal conference will also be available virtually for those unable to travel to Fort Washakie. A tour of the existing facilities will follow the conference. The site tour will not be presented virtually.
